Error Situations in Timed Transactions
It is possible to determine in the application that, in the case any occurrences are detected in scheduled activities, an e-mail notification will be sent to the named person. This occurrence will also be marked to the transfer log. The e-mail notification also contains information such as the timing name and time of execution, as well as an error description. In this case, the notification recipient can review the error details from the transfer log.
The timing windows include a section called Error Notifications, below which you can find the settings for the Notification Recipient and the Backup Recipient. This applies to all timed transactions. For additional information, see Timed Transactions.
It is not mandatory to choose a notification recipient or a recipient's backup person. If the notification recipient has a valid absence setting, the e-mail notification will also be sent to the defined backup person. If no recipient has been defined, the e-mail notification about exceptional situations is not sent.
Any person with access rights to the organizational level that the timings have been set for may be defined as the notification recipient or recipient's backup person. If the timing has been set at the system level, only users with rights to access the system level may be chosen. If the schedule has been set at a company group level, the user must have rights to that group. If the timing is set at the company level, the user must have rights to that company.
