Allowed Values for Posting
In the Organization structure you can define the values that are allowed for a user and/or organization structure in posting, i.e. ledger accounts, posting dimensions, and tax codes. For more information, see Organization Units.
Counter-Accounts
The counter-accounts used in posting are specified in the Organization Structure screen within the data of each company in the Posting Rules window. Debit accounts can also be defined separately for each supplier. Specific debit accounts are defined for foreign and domestic invoices.
The counter-accounts for travel claims are defined in the organization structure where you can also define a separate counter account for the Non-reimbursable Expenses of travel claims.
Posting Status
Posting status options are Complete, Incomplete and Locked.
Posting is Complete if the sum of the posting rows is the same as the sum of the transaction and if a ledger account is specific on each posting row.
Posting is Incomplete if the total sum of a transaction is not posted, if the ledger account is missing on some rows, or if the posting row generated in automatic posting does not conform to input rules (for more information, see Automatic Posting of Purchase Invoices).
A posting can be locked, if it is complete. Locking can be performed manually, or you can define in the Workflow Settings section that the posting is locked after a specific step.
Posting Description
The posting row description can be retrieved from either the supplier default postings or from the posting template description. If these do not provide a description for the posting row, the description will be the supplier name for purchase invoices and name of the person for travel plans.
The Supplier/person name for the description setting affects the description of tax rows and counter-entry rows. For more information, see Organization Structure.
Posting Modification Log
A log entry is generated for every edit of posting, and these are shown in the transaction's workflow. The entry is generated, among others, when adding, editing, deleting, locking, or unlocking a posting.
Posting tooltip
The total amount, tax amount, and tax-free amount of a single entry is shown in the tooltip of the Debit/Credit field. For example: "Amount 100.00 Tax sum 18.03 Net amount 81.97".
