Removal of Archived Transactions

Transactions may be removed from the archive. It is possible to enhance, for example, archive searches by removing transactions. The search function locates the transactions faster when there are fewer transactions in the database.

It is advisable to create a permanent archive for the transactions which are being removed prior to commencing the removal, since it is not possible to view the transactions in the application afterwards.

Choose the selection criteria
- Company
- Voucher Date Range: Select the start and end date
- Transaction Type: Select the transaction types to be removed
Click Delete.
The application prompts you to confirm whether a sufficiently fresh back-up copy of the database and archive directory has been created.
Replying Yes transfers the user to the Transaction screen. No interrupts the operation.
On the Transaction checking screen, information about the checking process is displayed. Selecting Cancel interrupts the removal of transactions during the checking process.
After the check, the user is prompted to confirm the removals. The number of confirming questions depends on the checking results.
- If transactions which have not been permanently archived are found among the transactions to be removed, the user is asked for a confirmation.
- If transactions which are permanently archived but for which all the permanent archives haven't been checked are found among the transactions being removed, the user is asked for a confirmation.
Regardless of the checking results, the user is asked for a final confirmation before the actual removal of transactions is started: "Do you want to permanently remove the defined transactions from the archive?"
Replying Yes commences removal of transactions and the following message is displayed: "Archive transactions are being removed. The removal data is entered in the log-book." Replying No interrupts the removal.
